Origins

Mark Brunetz hails from Cleveland, Ohio, where he was raised in a family of makers and entrepreneurs—considering himself a fourth-generation artisan.

His great-grandfather was a professional wallpaper hanger for the Western Reserve Historical Society, his grandfather was a licenced contractor and developer who constructed more than 50 custom homes throughout the Cleveland area, and his mother is an accomplished interior designer and vintage furniture expert. From an early age, he developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, detail, and the emotional impact of thoughtfully designed spaces.

Before entering the design world, his career followed an unconventional path. After completing post-graduate studies in human performance, he relocated to Los Angeles and began working with the Jane Fonda Workout in Beverly Hills. There, he created and led multiple fitness programs and products with global success—bringing him into people’s homes long before he began designing interiors, and shaping his understanding of how thoughtfully crafted experiences can influence behavior, connection, and ultimately, the way people live.

He later expanded into entertainment and media, co-founding a production company with Sandra Bullock and contributing to major film and television productions. Immersed in that world at the highest level, he developed a deep understanding of presentation, storytelling, and the emotional impact of space.

Having traveled to more than 35 countries—and continuing to explore new cultures—Mark brings a global perspective to his work, drawing inspiration from architecture, materials, and the ways people live around the world.

He then served as Creative Director of Special Events at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where he oversaw large-scale experiences for international clientele and multi-million-dollar budgets. The role refined his ability to manage complexity at scale—balancing vision, logistics, and execution with precision.

In 1999, he formally transitioned into design—reconnecting with his roots in building and interiors while bringing a multidisciplinary background in media, production, and consumer experience to his work. He went on to found his Los Angeles–based interior design studio, where he has since developed a body of work defined by clarity, intention, and transformation. For clients, this diverse foundation translates into a uniquely holistic approach—one that considers not only how a space looks, but how it functions, feels, and ultimately enhances the way people live.
